Sad O' Goth
Welcome to my hole. I just wanted a special page for you to get to know me and for me to get to know you. So, please sign up for a free membership and get weekly news on the underground scene of the Matrix.
Now let me start by telling you a little about myself and how I became involved in the underground scene...
Back in the late 70's and early 80's, I was part of the punk scene and my uncle played in a punk band called  Demented Minds. The punk thing passed and I was lost for several years. I went from listening to glam rock to rap to grunge, but none of them filled my pallate. Then I came across my fathers old record collection and found  Kraftwerk. The sound was amazing, unique, original-I was hooked. I soon delved deeper and found Bauhaus and Depeche Mode at some hole-in-the-wall record stores. But the Goth word  never was mentioned to me until I joined the military.
I had joined the military to get away from my family life and to also find myself. I was still listening to a lot of my old stuff and a few new ones, like Tool, NIN, and Front 242. I soon ran into another person who said I was really Goth. I didn't realize or know what I was becoming. I started hanging out at a local underground record store called Infernal Racket. I soon picked up on all the indie labels and anything Goth related. I was in hog heaven. Later a few friends said they wished they had a local 'zine for the music they liked. The whole Pearl Jam and Nirvana Alternative Rock shit was being over played. So I started a single page flier called Blood Lust. This soon became a 40 page 'zine and was being distributed locally for free. I had to secretly sneak it on post so not to start any shit with the MP's. I was getting the locals to throw their two cents in and this is what made the 'zine more personal to everyone. The 'zine was soon being distributed through Moon Mystique and I had orders coming from all over the US, even Peutro Rico. But my time in the military was ending and so did the 'zine. I tried continuing it when I moved to Ohio, but the scene there was totally different and everyone wanted money for their business.
Years went by and I moved to South Carolina. I started to check out the local scene here and found out everyone hid in the dark and avoided eveyone else unless they knew them well. The Goth scene had become shivering roaches that scattered when the lights came on. I was truly insulted. So I decided to reach the masses in the dark by the E-zine you see here. I try, as I did with Blood Lust, to allow all the locals to put their own ideas and words in this and hope it will become as big or even bigger than my previous efforts.
